Training Programs Can Make it Happen.

Getting the training you need to get a job can seem impossible...but it doesn't need to be, thanks to the Workforce Investment Act (WIA), which was passed by Congress in 1998. It assists individuals—like you—in obtaining a job to become self-sufficient, or to improve income levels.

In compliance with the Workforce Investment Act, various civic, government and business agencies in our area have partnered to form the Workforce Investment Board/Mid Ohio Valley (WIB-MOV). This board oversees a program called WorkForce WV, with centers in each of the nine West Virginia counties that make up WIB-MOV.

Each WorkForce WV Center is staffed by a skilled team of people who will provide information and guidance to help you reach your goals.

The Workforce Investment Act means job training for you.

On-the-Job Training
Technical Training
Vocational Training
Skill Upgrading
Entrepreneurial Training

And while you train, you could qualify for funds for
